Radiologists are Physicians

Your radiologist is a physician who specializes in diagnosing disease and injury by using medical imaging techniques, such as radiography (x-rays), fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), position emission tomography (PET), mammography, nuclear medicine (NM), densitometry, and sonography. Radiologists complete a four year undergraduate degree, four years of medical school, a year of internship and four additional years of residency training. Many radiologists have additional years of fellowship and subspecialty training.
